"We are located close to the Kairiiai training ground where the camp took place. The Scouts are a group of civic and community-minded individuals who promote a love of nature, so we were happy to accept their request and provide wood debris for the Scout campfires," says Julius Kiršis, our terminal manager.
According to Vaidotas Misiūnas, one of the camp leaders, "Scouting has a long history of over 100 years with deep traditions, customs and rituals, one of which is campfires. This is the time when the evening is spent discussing ideas of unity, the day's activities and the results, so the terminal's contribution of wood was particularly important to us".
Around 2300 Scouts took part in the camp and 10 cubic metres of wood debris from our terminal was used to light the fires.
