JSC Malkų įlankos terminalas has reached the first development results – in year 2013 company handled more than 725 thousand tons of cargo, or 16 percent more than last year and was one of the fastest growing companies in the port of Klaipeda.
The company in 2013 implemented the second phase of the bulk cargo terminal investment project in which built bulk cargo warehouse, equipped bulk cargo transporter to the quay and bulk cargo vessel loader. Total handled bulk cargo in year 2013 increased more than 100 percent.
Also in year 2013 finished Klaipeda State Seaport Authority financed project of reconstruction and building of a new rail roads. There were reconstructed two railway tracks and constructed two new tracks. The project has significantly increased terminal capabilities for handling of cargo from/to railway wagons.
